I wish I could have joined yall at the show, but I was with friends in the same building at Collectacon in the big hall. My friends had no interest and I was their host in town for that weekend so i couldn't see all the awesomeness of MWAVE this year. Perhaps next year.

I found your channel in January 2020 when I was about to give up on my HT after a few costly setbacks, but I randomly found your video on DIY acoustic panels, and watching your content inspired me to push past those issues, and keep going... 4-1/2 years later and now I have a room beyond what I ever dated dream I would have! So thanks for that! Also, you never did a follow-up video after your initial setup of that Anthem, so I'm wondering if you ended up keeping it, and what your thoughts are on it if you did?

It's been good seeing the evolution of your home theatre. From an lcd tv sitting on top of a centre channel Klipch speaker one minute Then next a JVC NZ-8 producing a 150" 4k native picture, LRC speakers now hidden behind the screen, atmos overheads, and finally audio amplification requiring a septate 15-20A circuit breaker. ⚡⚡ Good seeing that your current home cinema didn't happen overnight. And you bettered things bit by bit over the years, with good planning and experimentation. Kudos to you Michael. 🥂 👍

I was very surprised by the low attendance figures, it, that is, the figure of five hundred attendees is correct . It's a shame if that figure is anywhere near accurate.

One reason I've always wanted a MadVR is for better tone mapping, which I don't know if I'll want on my OLED, and better motion interpolation; that sucks on my TV. It's okay, but not great. I absolutely hate non-linear stretch. It's very distracting. Some theaters had it at MWAVE, and I didn't like how the image wobbled or how things were sometimes stretched. I'm an aspect-ratio purist since widescreen CRTs first came out. I hate that stretched look. I don't have a better word than saying it looks "low class". Like going to a high-dollar restaurant and getting plastic silverware. But those are my preferences. Other people like non-linear stretch or just stretch in general. Won't change the fact that it just doesn't look right. I have an OLED, and you can't tell there are black bars.

I have that exact same 97" LG G2, and lemme tell you, at home, it takes up most of the wall. At the KC Convention Center? It looked like an 83" TV; much smaller! Same with the RTJ subs I bought. They were pretty small there, and then I brought them home and was wondering how I was gonna fit them in and have people able to walk to their seat at the same time.

I wish they'd make a more affordable unit for those of us on a budget.

The open display amp OSD had at MWave had one feature that caught my eye. Each Amp board had its own bank of capacitors vs one or two large caps for the entire unit.

RF-7 III is in a different class, and is priced accordingly. They're also in a price class ($4000+/pair) where they compete with some other speakers that offer much better value. Tekton Pendragon for $2300/pair is a legitimate competitor, and maybe a better speaker overall. I can see choosing the RF-7 III over the Pendragon if money is no object and you want the Klipsch look, but they're not better speakers.

All watts are not the same. Amps don’t just put out power, they control driver movement. Some control the driver movement with more precision. Class A biased amplification when used in stereo gives more precision, detail, 3-dimensional holographic imaging, and fills in the missing information that class D amps skip over. Anyone that says class D is close to class A with regards to quality of sound hasn’t heard a system that is set up properly to create a 3-dimensional sound stage. And the rumor that subwoofers will work fine with class D amplifiers have never heard bass and sub bass that images out on the sound stage. Perhaps in a home theater it doesn’t matter…..
